A facilidade de acesso a cenas na internet provocou queda na locação e comercialização de vídeos eróticos em todo o mundo. Contudo, ao mesmo tempo em que atrapalha a indústria, a internet a torna mais próxima do público. No Brasil, o portal Xvídeos, que disponibiliza cenas de filmes pornográficos, é o 18o mais acessado na web, à frente de gigantes como Folha (27o) e ClicRBS (72o). O objetivo desta grande reportagem em impresso é contextualizar a situação atual deste nicho de mercado e mostrar como as grandes produtoras da indústria estão driblando a crise que se instalou na última década

The interaction between voice and appearance in the embodiment of a robot tutor

Robot embodiment is, by its very nature, holistic and understanding how various aspects contribute to the user perception of the robot is non-trivial. A study is presented here that investigates whether there is an interaction effect between voice and other aspects of embodiment, such as movement and appearance, in a pedagogical setting. An on-line study was distributed to children aged 11–17 that uses a modified Godspeed questionnaire. We show an interaction effect between the robot embodiment and voice in terms of perceived lifelikeness of the robot. Politeness is a key strategy used in learning and teaching, and here an effect is also observed for perceived politeness. Interestingly, participants’ overall preference was for embodiment combinations that are deemed polite and more like a teacher, but are not necessarily the most lifelike. From these findings, we are able to inform the design of robotic tutors going forward

AGAINST GENDER DISCRIMINATION IN ANGELA ROBINSON’S HERBIE FULLY LOADED (2005) MOVIE: A FEMINIST APPROACH

This study is aimed to show the against gender discrimination in Herbie Fully Loaded movie by using feminist approach. It is done by establishing two objectives: the first is analyzing the movie based on its structural elements and the second is analyzing the movie based on the feminist approach. This research is qualitative research. Type of data of the study is text and image taken from two data sources: primary and secondary. The primary data source is the Herbie Fully Loaded movie directed by Angela Robinson released in 2005. While the secondary data sources are other materials taken from books, journals, and internet related to the study. Both data are collected through library research and analyzed by descriptive analysis. The study comes to the following conclusions. First, based on the structural analysis of each elements, it shows that the character and characterization, casting, plot, setting, point of view, theme, mise-en-scene, cinematography, sound, and editing are related to each other and form unity to be good quality of a movie.
